Show Costume Guidelines
Costume costs will range between $40-$60 per costume (some exceptions apply for extra large
sizes). Skaters will have the opportunity to be in two numbers (two costumes), in addition to the
opening and finale. Costumes, grouping and song numbers will be assigned at the completion of
show sign-ups based on the number of skaters that sign up at each level




This year, we will be ordering costumes from a dance costume company. All costume
orders need to be placed by Jan. 19, 2016 to ensure delivery of the costumes in time for the
show. ADDITIONAL COSTUMES CANNOT BE ORDERED AT A LATER DATE!
Costume down payment: a down payment of $60, plus $20.00 for child sized Mondors or
$23.00 for adult sized Mondors is required at the time you sign-up for the show. You may
have an amount left to pay after the costume deposit is applied. This balance is due at the time of
costume pick up. You may not leave with any costumes unless your costume bill is paid in full.
Costumes are not custom made to your child’s measurements. Be sure to try the costumes
on right away. Any alterations of costumes are the skater’s responsibility.
Mondors will be ordered for every skater to ensure a uniform look. The mondors that will be
ordered will be over the boot mondors. Even if you prefer a different style, please use the ones
ordered for the show. No exceptions.




Show costumes will be distributed as they come in.
Skaters should not play or skate in their costumes before the show.
All hair will be pulled back into a ponytail, messy bun or bun on the back of the head. If you have
short hair you are to pull the sides back into a ponytail on the back of the head. Please use a
neutral colored ponytail holder that matches your hair color.
Makeup is at your discretion.

SHOW REHEARSAL POLICIES
ALL SKATERS:
 Attendance is taken at all rehearsals. Practices are mandatory due to the limited number of
practices.
 Finalized rehearsal schedule will be sent out 2 weeks before the show. Please plan to have
rehearsal each night leading up to the show (March 14-18).
 Arriving late or leaving early is considered a miss and may result in your removal from that
number.
VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES
VOLUNTEERS
As always, the success of the show is dependent upon the great volunteer help we receive
from the parents of the skaters. We are looking forward to a spectacular show and wonderful skating
from all the children and parents.
PLEASE HELP US by offering to volunteer your time and talents. PLEASE sign up during
basic skills classes or send me an email. Detailed descriptions of the different volunteer areas will be
available during show sign-ups. If you have already signed up to help, thank you so very much and
you will be contacted to verify and confirm. EACH FAMILY IS EXPECTED TO VOLUNTEER IN
SOME CAPACITY! Many of these volunteer opportunities can be done while you are at the rink
during your child’s basic skills lesson (cutting, gluing, painting, small sewing projects, etc).
Raffle Fee
Each year Timberline raffles off several baskets for additional fundraising during the ice show.
This year there will be a $10 raffle fee added to the show fees. Items for the raffle baskets will be
purchased with this fee.
SOLO AND FEATURE POLICIES
This year we will continue to use the solo/feature application process. First priority will be given to
skaters who only skate for Timberline (and no other club) and only have the opportunity to be part of
Timberline’s ice show. In order to be fair to all skaters, solos and features will be awarded to the
skaters with the highest points. Skaters must be in at least 2 show numbers in order to qualify
for a solo or feature.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING CONSIDERED FOR A FEATURE OR SOLO, YOU MUST
FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AND MAIL IT OR HAND IT TO KRISTINE SHIVERICK BY
FEBRUARY 1, 2016. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. REMEMBER, IT IS
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK UP AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. Feature numbers will
be awarded to the highest combined point total of the skaters in the feature. The number of solos
and features awarded will be determined after show sigh-ups are completed.
Questions? Email or talk to Kristine Shiverick.
