Board Action Required: Approval of new members
About a month before the conference in Denver, the committee accepted applications
for the three spots opening up on the committee at the conclusion of our 2015
business meeting. We had five applicants and held a committee vote. We submit the
following names for approval for members who will serve until 2019:

Elizabeth Surles

Brief Summary of Activities

Much of the past quarter has been devoted to the preparation of the 2015 preconference workshop sponsored by the committee, including working with our
speaker, conference managers, and A-R Editions staff.

We also discussed the possibility of a survey of membership regarding archives
issues, but decided to wait on this until after the Denver meeting.

Finally, we have already begun discussions about sponsoring two conference
programs in 2016: one a jointly-sponsored plenary with the Preservation
Committee on digital preservation, and the other a session on oral histories.
