Water Media Supply List (All students):
-1 piece (minimum) colored or toned paper for water media (8 1/2" X 11")
-Watercolor paper- hot press is ideal, cold press or soft press work well. 2
half sheets (4 quarter sheets or one whole sheet) per day. Two blocks will
also work.
-Palette of your choice (the colors and supplies you normally use for either
watercolor, gouache, or acrylic)
-Opaque media (acrylic or gouache). This could be as simple as 1 tube of
titanium white gouache or the theoretical primaries (* starred on the supply
list) plus white.
-For acrylic only: one type of medium. I prefer Golden Satin medium. You
can use any brand or texture you prefer, but avoid slow drying mediums like
Open.
-Sketchbook for taking notes
-Separate brushes for acrylic (if using). Using the same brushes for
watercolor and gouache is okay.
-black india ink (waterproof)
