Ingredients not disclosed on bottle  . It is listed as a
hydrochloric acid solution (20% HCl, 80% “inert”
ingredients). It was also not listed on the EWG website.
It is listed as hazardous under the federal OSHA criteria.
We did find out that there are hazards listed about the
product: Precautionary statements hazards To humans
And domestic animals: danger: corrosive - causes
skin burns And irreversible eye damage. Harmful if
swallowed or absorbed through skin; do not get in eyes,
on skin, or on clothing. Wear goggles or face shield,
protective clothing, And rubber(or chemical-resistant)
gloves. Wash thoroughly with soap And water after handling.
The Dove & Olay dishwashing soap
received a C + on the EWG website. The
ingredients had health, environmental, &
disclosure concerns. The last 5 ingredients
are meethylisothiazolinone, protease,
fragrance, yellow 5, and red 33. There is a
high content: acute aquatic toxicity
(it’s bad for water, WHY AM I WASHING
DISHES WITH IT?!), and the yellow 5 (has a
D rating) has concerns regarding cancer,
chronic aquatic toxicity, acute
aquatic toxicity, general
systemic/organ effects
Whole Foods would not carry either of these products. Both
are harmful to body and environment.
Alternatives to the rescue!!
This is a 2.5 oz bottle of Ecological Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Pine Fresh. It has
the exact same job as the other toilet cleaner but goes about this job in a
much safer manner. All the ingredients are natural and biodegradable! It
has pine, citrus, eucalyptus, and lavender oils yet still has a powerful

best part is, when you’re done cleaning, it doesn’t smell like a guy in a
hazmat suit came by, it smells like a nice pine tree ; everybody wins!
A safe substitute for dishwashing liquid is LifeTree Home Soap. It has no
artificial colors or fragrances. It is also completely environmentally safe. It
was specifically formulated to biodegrade quickly & completely. Home Soap
is a blend of purified water, coconut derived surfactants and pure essential
oil fragrance. It accomplishes the same as the Dawn & Olay soap and is only
$6 for 6 oz. It was also made to be versatile, you can use “Home Soap to
shampoo the dog, wash the car, degrease the barbeque grill, wash fruits
and vegetables, or for anything else you would use a soap for. It is an
extremely effective grease cutter, but gentle on sensitive skin”.
