World War 2 Newspaper Project
Requirements: All articles, with the exception of #2 Biographical sketch, are to come from periodicals
published between the years 1939-1945. (Not from encyclopedia)
Each Newspaper will include one each of the following topics:

An article on a historical event that took place during the war
Biographical sketch on a personality in the war
A map of a war campaign
An advertisement from the 40’s about the war (war bonds, support the war, etc.)
An advertisement from the 40’s selling a product
An Editorial about a national or international concern (Opinion piece)
Historical Headlines (Six or more to include the newspaper and date)
An article on a sporting event
An article on a military conflict (battle, etc.)
Fashion article with pictures (not advertisement)
A medical article (not advertisement)
An article about an invention or discovery from the 40’s or because of the war
A Food section including a recipe of the 40’s that had been modified due to war shortages
Political cartoon(s) from the era
Must Include:

Newspaper format
Each article should be numbered (1-14) to make identification of the category obvious
Work cited page (should include citation for each article)
Checklist of each numbered article referencing page number for each
This will count as a MAJOR assessment.
