1. Introduction
GRPE has given the mandate to the PMP informal group to prepare a work programme to
address the issue of traffic related non-exhaust particle emissions.
The PMP group activities have been historically focused on exhaust particle emissions and
therefore its members are mainly expert in this field.
In order to properly address the issues related to non-exhaust particle emissions, there is a
clear need to involve in the discussion experts in this field new for the PMP. This would
assure the exchange of necessary information, avoid duplications and overlapping of
research activities, and drive the activities and objectives of the group towards the right
direction.
So far, several experts from the industry have been invited and already agreed to follow the
activities of the PMP group. Additionally, some experts coming from research institutes and
universities have positively responded to our call and will contribute with their knowledge
to the work done by the PMP. The following table lists the experts who have been already
invited and agreed to participate in the PMP activities.
