INTRODUCTION:
The objective of the International Conference on “Emerging Trends in
Hospitality & Tourism Sector” (ETHTS 2015) is to provide a platform for
researchers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the
world to present their research results and development activities
in Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism. This conference will provides
opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application
experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find
global
partners
for
future
collaboration.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES:
• To develop ideas, concepts and proposals for realistic and
implementable programs which enhance understanding among people,
familiarize us about their culture and environments through travel.
• To understand and build an academic and professional framework
based on changing nations in tourism system.
• To gain a comprehensive understanding of the sustainable framework
of tourism planning and development.
• To understand how tourism dividends could be leveraged to build
international understanding.
• To collect innovative ideas and opinions for the betterment and
increase of the potential in the perspective of the government and the
local people regarding avenues of tourism.
• To explore motivating factors for tourism engagement in international
diplomacy.
• To gather researchers at one place to pool in novel ideas and to share
new strategies to improve/develop tourism.
SUBHARTI UNIVERSITY:
Swami Vivekanand Subharti University was established under the aegis
of Subharti K.K.B. Charitable Trust, Meerut, under section 2(f) of the
University Grant Commission (U.G.C.) Act, 1956. This is a creation of great
visionaries Dr. Atul Krishna (the founder) & Dr Mukti Bhatnagar (Founder
President).
The University campus has 15 constituent colleges and 180+ courses in
almost all the disciplines like Medical, Dental, Nursing, Paramedical,
Pharmacy, Naturopathy, Engineering, Management, Law, Journalism,
Education, Art and Sciences, Fashion Designing, Hotel Management and

Named after the great lady revolutionary freedom fighter lady Bhikaji
Cama Subharti Institute of Hotel Management was established in 2009 with
the mission to provide professional education & training to the looming
aspirants who are ambitious to become part of this fast growing & highly
rewarding industry of the hospitality & service industry. Pioneering the
aspirations of the young generation and reviewing the demands of this
globally viable profession, the Management of “Swami Vivekanand Subharti
Universiy” has spared no resource to provide an infrastructure that is

To aid this, guest lectures by industry experts are arranged from time to
time to apprise the students about real time situations that they may
countenance once they are in the job and learn how to tackle them. These
brilliant interactions with industry experts also help the students to keep in
regular touch with the ongoing trends and technologies in the industry.
In this Endeavour, the institute is strongly supported and assisted by
professionals of the Personality development & Communication skills
department that work in close coordination with the Training and placement
cell. Together, they complement the efforts of the HM department in
grooming and grilling the incumbents thoroughly by providing them with the
finer nuances and skill required to make them competent and complete
professionals, ready to take on the unforetold challenges of the career they
have opted for, transforming objectives, attitudes along with future prospects.
Sufficient exposure is given to the budding talent through Industrial training
and internships in the country’s elite five star rated properties to enhance
their professional competence, confidence and self worth.
ABOUT MEERUT:
The district of Meerut (which forms part of the revenue division of the
same name) is named after its headquarters city and is said to be associated
with earliest traditions of the Hindus according to which Maya, the father-inlaw of Ravana, founded this place he called this place Mayrashtra, a name
which in course of time became shortened to Meerut. Tradition has it
that the district formed part of the dominions of Mahipal, king of
Indraprashta and the word Meerut is associated with his name. Meerut is
famously associated with the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British
East India Company.
The famous slogan "Dilli Chalo" ("Let's march to Delhi!") was first
raised here. Meerut has been famous for some historic monuments namely,
Baba Augharh Nath Temple (Kali Paltan Mandir)
The Temple situated in Meerut Cantonment area is devoted to Lord
Shiva. It is said that the spark of the first war of independence of India, 1857
raged into a flame. Soldiers of the kali Paltan, a part of "British Army', often
came to quench their thirst from the well in the Temple premises.
Shahid Smark and Government Freedom Struggle Museum Meerut
The Shahid Smarak Meerut devoted to Martyrs of India and specially
associated with the first war for freedom of India 1857. The museum houses
preserves, documents and exhibit cultural property of glorious past depicting
important episode of the war of independence 1857 through paintings.
St. John Church and Cemetery
Built in Colonial British period, it is a master piece of architecture. A
cemetery is situated near to Church where in one can see graves of the
Britishers and their families killed during the upsurge in 1857, 9 graves are
still in conserved condition and visible.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Academicians, research scholars, senior management, writers, editors,
consultant, administrators, Tourism Lawyers, politician, landscape architects,
environmentalist, unban designers and professional are invited to submit
papers, the focus of the research papers / case studies can be with respect to
industry such as travel and tour operations, destination management,
accommodation, transportation, infrastructure, entertainment and recreation,
cuisine, languages in tourism and hospitality, human resource, IT in tourism
and hospitality or any of the combination.
CALL FOR PAPERS:
Selection of papers for presentation will be based on detailed abstracts of up
to 1000 words. One soft Copy of the abstract in MS word, e-mail to
ethts2015@gmail.com and should reach not later than 20th September, 2015.
The full paper must be sent after acceptance of abstract before 25 th October,
2015 include a clear indication of the purpose of research methodology,
major findings, implications and key references.
