Job Summary:
Create and build client relationships with local animal hospitals and animal welfare groups while assisting with the daily business operations of
the local The Pet Loss Center memorial and crematory facilities. Responsibilities will also include creating awareness of The Pet Loss Center
through local events, either focused on the pet parents or pet care professionals.
Work Performed:
Through a consultative sales effort, the goal is to build relationships with local animal hospitals to secure, solidify and retain their death care
business. Duties also include participation in strategic sessions to determine the most effective marketing venues to attend and drive the
awareness of The Pet Loss Center.
Major components of the position include:
• Identifying, pursuing, and closing sales leads to bring new veterinary and pet parent customers to The Pet Loss Center.
• Establish and maintain on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
• Copious tracking of sales efforts for all calls and progress reports as well as adhering to the sales call follow up plan as set by the company.
Measures to include sales, sales calls, and sales budget.
• Assist the Center team leader in finding and participating in the various animal welfare events within the market place.
• Communicate with the entire Center team for participation in presentations and lunch and learns at the veterinary clinics or pet care facilities.
• Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
Bachelor’s Degree in business, science or other related discipline or Associate’s Degree and related experience is desired.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the pet world is a plus, however, not a requirement. Experience in customer service or sales required; consultative sales or
experience managing a sales territory is desired but not required.
