ASHMOUNT WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Ashmount Primary School
DEAR PARENTS/CARERS,
Just to wish you a relaxing and enjoyable summer but
also to thank you for your encouragement and support
during my first year at Ashmount.
I strongly feel we have all the necessary staffing and
structures in place to further accelerate the progress
of our children and I am itching to get on with this in
the autumn term.
I would also like to thank Penny for her incredible
dedication and support this year as Acting deputy
Headteacher and just to add that Amy will be back full
time in her role of Deputy Headteacher in the Autumn.
Thanks as ever for your continued support and enjoy
the summer break.
Best wishes,
Anthony Carmel
Head Teacher
Staff Leaving
We are very sad to say that some of our teaching staff
are leaving us this term and moving on to new
opportunities. Angela Rynne has taught at Ashmount
for 14 years and we thank her for her dedication and
hard work over the years. Numerous children have
benefited from her teaching and she will be greatly
missed by all. Caroline Nugent has been a key member
of staff for 5 years, as a class teacher and Team 3
manager. She has been an outstanding teacher and has
contributed so much to the school community and will
be greatly missed by all the staff and children. Mark
Anderson has worked with us for 3 years. He has
proven to be an outstanding teacher and a fantastic
manager of Team 2. He is moving on to an Assistant
Head position in a school nearer to his home. The
school community will miss him very much and will miss
his wonderful sense of humour! Jenny Collins has
worked with us for 5 years and has been a highly
dedicated and extremely hard working class teacher.
She is getting married soon and is moving to a new
teaching position in another school. We all will miss her
greatly. Cinzia Bellantonio has taught Italian to all the
junior classes for many years. We say ‘grazie mille’to
Cinzia and we will miss her too.
We want to say a huge thank you to all of the staff
leaving this term and wish them every success and
happiness in the future. You will all be greatly missed.
