Randy Taylor, Mayor, held the regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen for the Village of Bailey’s Prairie, at
1680 Jimmy Phillips Blvd., Angleton, Texas, on Thursday, May 8, 2014.

1. Call to Order
Meeting was called to order at 6:31pm.
2. Consent Agenda
A. Approval of Regular Minutes – April 17th
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
JD made a motion to approve the minutes. Michelle seconded motion. Motion carried, minutes
approved.
B. Approval of Bills – May
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
Michelle made a motion to approve accounts. JD seconded motion. Motion carried, accounts
approved.
3. Unfinished Business
A. Discussion and possible action on Ordinance Violations.
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
Jo has not made contact with our attorney.
B. Discussion and possible action on HUD Grant
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
Rhonda will check with Nancy on status.
C. Discussion and possible action on Game Room Establishment
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
Letter was sent to Mr. Spears. No other news.
D. Discussion and possible action on EMS and Fire
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
This item will be removed from agenda.
E. Discussion and possible action on Cable Franchise
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
This is now a standard fee. Attorney is preparing a letter. Jo will follow up on this.
4. New Business
A. Discussion and possible action on Cell Phone Tower
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
Randy checked into this. He submitted a letter but has not heard anything back. T Mobile sold
the tower. Randy has requested a contact person. There is currently two violations of
Ordinance. 1) Paying fee 2) If they sell or transfer, they are supposed to contact us.
B. Discussion and possible action on Electric Company / Billing
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
We were charged a fee for terminating meters due to our contract.
C. Discussion and possible action on Evacuation Management Plan
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
Jo made a motion to adopt an Evacuation Management Plan. Rhonda seconded motion. Motion
carried Evacuation Management Plan adopted.
D. Discussion and possible action on Hunting on the Sid Bradley Property
RECOMMENDATION/ACTION TAKEN:
Zelvin Webb spoke with one bunch which hopefully resolved the issue.
Sheriff’s Department has been notified and Game Warden has been notified.
Jo will contact Charles Waggoner regarding this issue.
