WISCONSIN FOUNDATIONS OF READING TEST (WIFOR)
WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION requires
anyone requesting Elementary Education: MCEA licensure to
pass the Wisconsin Foundations of Reading (WIFOR) test. A
passing score must be received by March 1 of the fall semester
of student teaching and by October 1 of the previous year if
student teaching in a spring semester. Not doing so could delay
your student teaching placement.

Effective fall 2016, WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
INSTRUCTION requires anyone seeking an Elementary Education:
MCEA teaching license must pass a Teacher Performance
Assessment during the student teaching semester in order to be
licensed by the state of Wisconsin. Information will be presented
at meetings, workshops, and in courses.
PORTFOLIO
WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION requires a portfolio assessment
be completed successfully the semester prior to student teaching. Not doing so
