Collections Management Intern
Molly Brown House Museum
This position is located at the Molly Brown House Museum within the Curatorial and
Collections Management department and is under the direct supervision of the Curator of
Collections.
Responsibilities:
The intern’s primary responsibilities will be focused around standard house maintenance. Intern
will clean exhibition spaces on a weekly basis, monitor exhibit for any changes, monitor the
museum environment on a monthly basis, and implement the IPM plan on a monthly basis.
This requires that the intern uses proper object handling techniques, be able to compile
environmental monitoring data, and track any changes in the museum environment.
Additionally, the intern will work with the museum’s fashion collection. This position will
require the intern to photograph, organize, and catalogue the fashions collection. This requires
that the intern uses proper object handling techniques, standard museum photographing
techniques, archival skills, and basic collections database management skills.
This internship requires a minimum of 2 days per week with Monday being a mandatory
day.
Additional responsibilities include:
Be prepared to conduct tours of the museum, and other duties as required.
