Welcome to the Boston University School of Public Health!
Orientation aims to facilitate new students’ transition into Boston University School of Public
Health and to enrich each individual’s unique BUSPH experience. You’ll learn about life inside
and outside the classroom – from academics to research, employment, and volunteer
opportunities. Orientation also provides an excellent opportunity to meet your peers, the faculty
and staff, and deans of the School.

interactive session, examining the question
“how do we prepare to meet the health
needs of disadvantaged, underserved and
vulnerable populations?”

A: The building in which Student Financial Services and Housing offices are located. It is accessible through
the L building.
CT: The Crosstown Building at 801 Massachusetts Ave (at the intersection of Albany Street. Biostatistics,
International Health, and Community Health Sciences departments are based here.
L: The L Instructional Building, which is directly across the green from the Talbot Building. A handy note:
bear L (left) at the guard desk in the lobby.
R: The McNary Learning Center, the first floor of the Research (R) Building; also, directly across the green
from the Talbot Building. A handy note: bear R (right) at the guard desk in the lobby and head past it and
beyond the elevators.
T: The Talbot Building at 715 Albany Street. Talbot houses BUSPH administrative offices including
Admissions, Career Services, Deans, Practice, Registrar Student Services, and the following academic
departments: Environmental Health; Epidemiology; Health Law, Bioethics & Human Rights; and Health
Policy & Management.
