Poetry comparison.
An examination of the 3 key
assessment areas for Y13. These will
be documentary film, a single key
film analysis (Fight Club) and
Japanese Film 1950 to 1970. The
exam will again be 2 and a half
hours, with approximately 45 mins
on each section.
Further Maths students will
complete one more 90 minute exams
in Mechanics 2, this will cover work
completed with Mr Fenton.
Students will complete a mock unit 3
Contested Planet paper in
examination conditions. The
duration of the exam will be 2 hours
30 minutes. The exam covers the
following taught units:
Learning of key LOVE/WAR quotes;
Revision cards for each LOVE/WAR theme
Unseen extract analysis.
Students have viewed a large number of documentary films in
preparation for that unit. They should both review their notes on their
chosen focus films, and re-watch the films, if possible. Students have
numerous notes on Fight Club and these should be reviewed. They should
certainly re-watch the film at least once before the exam. For the
Japanese film section, pupils have notes both on paper and electronically
stored screen shots. Both these resources should be reviewed.
Classwork books. In addition they will be given some past exam papers to
complete.
In class revision and period 6 revision sessions will be offered to students.

1hr 30 exam. Students will have to
answer two questions (from a choice
of three). One question will cover the
period of Bourbon rule (1815-1830);
one will cover Louis-Philippe's reign
Use all booklets, blockbusters resources, etc. You need to be in a position
whereby you can reproduce the spider diagram for each topic. You will
also be provided with past papers- have a practice using these questions.
Mark schemes will also be made available- you will need to be fully aware
of the criteria for L4 and L5 responses.
Focus on literacy and sentence starters, essay structure and quality of
written communication. Spelling, grammar, punctuation. Rule of three
points maximum for a level 3 answer!
Past paper questions to be completed using the above techniques. These
can be accessed on zdrive:/HSC/A2 level/unit 11/OCR past papers.
Mark schemes are also available to check through content and levels.

use the information you have improved in green pen.

both staff and students. They will receive this in the next few weeks. In
addition class notes and their text books. Revision techniques will be
covered in class.

chapter there are ‘Test yourself’ sections which they should aim to

every concept.
Do essay plans for Past papers questions-go through your existing essays
to see where you have done things well.
Go over key words and make sure you know ALL of these off by heart.
Students will have to answer three questions but questions could be on
any of the mentioned topics. Students must therefore revise thoroughly
the theory work which has been completed between September and
Christmas.
Past exam papers will be given out to students with examples of
questions to practise.
Revision session will be held the week before the mock.
