South Wales Texel Breeders’ Associations Christmas Lights Show and Sale – December
2015
On a wet and windy Friday, 18th December, a good crowd descended on Llandovery Market
for the South Wales Texel Breeders’ Associations Annual In-lamb Ewe Sale with a larger
entry than usual on offer. The Judge, Miss Megan Watkins (Millend) gave the Championship
in the Pre-Sale Show to F H Chave & Family (Peacehay) for their powerful Fachell Outlook
sired shearling ewe making their journey from Somerset worthwhile. Being a substitute to
the catalogue, she was sold in lamb carrying a single to Peacehay Untouchable, a ram that
had won the Interbreed Champion at Devon County Show earlier this year. The Champion
went on to make the top price of the day at 820gns being purchased by W G Davies & Son,
Gelli Farm, Hirwaun.
