The Department of Maths, Science and Technology Education requires the service of part-time
lecturers and in the following programmes:

(Posts)
1. Academic Qualification
Key performance areas/Core functions:
 Qualification in Education
 A Masters or honors
degree
 Presenting lectures and assessing students
in Engineering Graphics and Design B Ed
(FET) specialization and Civil Technology
or Mechanical Technology;
 Be responsible for administrative tasks
related to teaching and learning in
Engineering Graphics and Design and Civil
Technology or Mechanical Technology;
 Involvement in the development of new
curriculum in the programme in line with
the new HEQC structures;
 Administration of work integrated learning;
 Assisting HOD and/or section head with
matters relating to Engineering Graphics
and Design and Civil Technology or
Mechanical Technology programme team;
 Student mentorship, consultations,
performance monitoring and interventions;
 Be an active participant in the research
activities of the department;
 Networking with the Colleges and Schools,
including Advisory Committee meetings;
 Provide leadership in developing
relationships with the Engineering Graphics
and Design and Civil Technology or
Mechanical Technology programme,
 Involvement in community project;
 Responsible for administrative tasks
related to teaching and learning in the
programme;

 Be responsible for administrative tasks
related to teaching and learning in
Consumer Studies;
 Involvement in the development of new
curriculum in the programme in line

matters relating to Consumer Studies
programme team;
 Student mentorship, consultations,

in Electrical Technology subject for FET
group and Technology subject for GET.
 Be responsible for administrative tasks
related to teaching and learning in
Electrical Technology and Technology
subject for GET.
 Involvement in the development of new
curriculum in the programme in line with
the new HEQC structures.
 Administration of work integrated learning;
 Assisting HOD and/or section head with
matters relating to Consumer Studies
programme team;
 Student mentorship, consultations,
performance monitoring and interventions;
 Be an active participant in the research
