HAZE MANAGEMENT
SOP FOR HAZEMOVEMENT WHEN PSI READING IS IN ‘HAZARDOUS’ BAND
1. Instruction for where classes are to move will be made over the PA system.
2. Classes already using the air-conditioned rooms will remain in the rooms. Classes that
are near available air-conditioned rooms will be informed to move to those venues.
There may be multiple classes in large air-con venues and classes may be split into
several smaller air-con venues.
3. Other classes not assigned an air-conditioned venue will move to the Hall.
4. Classes going to the Hall will follow route laid out in the customised ‘map of movement’
pasted on the wall of their classroom to minimise distance students have to travel
outdoors to designated rooms.
5. Classes will move to the Hall by staggered times for level of the building as announced
over the PA system to prevent congestion at entrance of Hall.
6. Hall shutters drawn down except for entrance to the hall.
7. After every 2 periods, classes in the Hall will be selected to go to the air-conditioned
rooms while those initially there will go to the Hall.
8. Subject teachers are to accompany students to the venues.
9. Students are to be supervised at all times to ensure that students who have breathing
difficulties are attended to promptly.
10. Classes return to their normal venues to resume normal activities only when instructions are
given.
Note
If the haze condition is hazardous during flag raising, all classes will assemble in the Hall.
Selected classes will then be sent to air-conditioned venues from the Hall.
