Belgrade is the capital and the soul of modern Serbia. Because of its strategic position at the confluence
of the Sava and the Danube rivers, on the spot where the Pannonian plain meets the Balkans, the city
took part in 115 wars and was raised a ground 44 times. Consequently, during its lively history it was
inhabited by Celts, Romans, Slavs, Byzantines, Bulgarians, Franks, Hungarians, Turks, Austrians and

During its history it was a one of the most important city of Ottoman Empire, second after Istanbul.
Later it became the capital of Serbian kingdom and the capital of several forms of Yugoslavia (kingdom,
republic) only recently to become the capital of Serbia. Today, it is a modern city of about 1,7 million
inhabitants. Beside the nice position Belgrade can offer to its visitors many historical and cultural
monuments, as well as the rich program of cultural, artistic and sports events.
Skadarlija: is the bohemian quarter of Belgrade and an unavoidable place to taste local specialties.
Nearly all restaurants have live music. Skadarlija, arose during the late 19th and early 20th century
when its inns were the gathering place of the best known artistic names in Belgrade. It is frequently
compared to the Montmartre of Paris, both in appearance as well as the exuberant and dynamic artistic
atmosphere.

DAY 2: Belgrade - Zlakusa village - Kušići village- Golija Mountain

Golija is one of the most beautiful and forest-rich mountains in Serbia. It is located 40 km southwest of
Ivanjica and offers a wide variety of holiday and leisure options in the midst of almost untouched
nature. The highest peak is Jankov Kamen, at 1833 m. Since 2001, Golija mountain has been under
state protection as the Golija Nature Park, which was placed in category of natural resource of
exceptional importance. Because of both the exceptionally well-preserved natural environment, and its
cultural resources, the committee of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Reserve Programme set up
the Golija – Studenica Biosphere Reserve within the Golija Nature Park.

and 12 km from gorgeous Javor Mountain (1573 meters highest peak). Placed in an altitude over 1000

Accommodation in Kusici: The household is situated in center of Kušići village on the vast family estate
covering 4 hectares. Accommodation is provided in luxuriously furnished double and triple rooms with
bathrooms featuring shower cabins, TVs, telephones and internet, each with pleasant terrace
overlooking magic natural ambiance. In the restaurant of this modern Vila delicious traditional homemade meals are served (gibanitza, kaymak, grilled meat, s auerkraut, hom e-made sour
cream, fresh c hesee). Guests are welcome to enjoy in long walks through magnificent nature of this
village and surrounding and to take part in everyday rural works - milking cows, making hay stocks,
picking up potato and raspberries.. - assisted by diligent hosts which make them truly discover rich
heritage and well preserved customs. Harsh winters in beautiful Kusici village are specially interesting for
active sportsmen providing unique possibilities for winter sports and sledding along the mountain slopes
on the sledge terrains nearby.
DAY 3: Kušići - Uvac – Radionja lake - Kušići
 After breakfast full-day tour to Uvac River Canyon
 Observation of griffin vultures within the Uvac Park of Nature, the largest
griffin vultures habitat in the Balkans
 Drive to Radoinja Lake and traditional lunch on the lake bank.

DAY 4: Kušići – Valjevo Mountain adventure - Belgrade
 After breakfast drive towards Valjevo

The Valjevo mountains are a 115km-long mountain range that stretches from Rajac and Suvobor in
the east to Mt Povlen in the west. Almost all are rich in mountain streams, rivers that carve sharp cliffs
in the rocks, canyons and caves. In this untouched natural landscape there are several exciting
waterfalls and canyons that can’t be reached in a conventional way, like walking or driving, but only by
climbing down a rope.
The terrain surrounding the Valjevo mountains is immensely rich with speleological phenomena ,such as
caves and pits, and is also suitable for other sports, such as free-climbing, paragliding, kayaking on
small lakes and rivers and hiking through mountain paths. One of the most beautiful places for trekking
is the river and canyon at Gradac. For 17 kilometers this small river flows through whirlpools, rapids,
underneath wooden bridges and smashes against on massive rocks. The biggest cave in the Valjevo
area, the 2.5km- long Degurička pećina, also lies here and is part of all local adventure tours.

Itinerary in short: early morning departure to Valjevo. Meeting with local tour expert introduction to the
trip itinerary. Short drive to Valjevo mountains. Arrival to the camp. Lunch. Walk to nearby rocks.
Guiding on rocks-teaching and lessons about equipment-course for next day. Next day: Conquering of
the first canyon with waterfalls. Rest and lunch in nature. Free climbing in the second canyon. Hiking
tour.
