The statutory guidance from the Department for Education and Department for Business, Innovation and Skills
outlines how careers and employability skills can be delivered to students. As Career Ready centres, we will
discuss how you can take elements of the programme and apply to a wider group of students – at no extra cost
– to help you meet the statutory requirement and preparing more students for the world of work.
11.30 Career Ready new resources
Career Ready has undertaken significant programme development over 2015. This session will be delivered by
table leaders, who will guide Coordinators and LAB members through the brand new resources that should now
be used to implement the programme and will answer questions and queries. This will include an induction to:
- Coordinators toolkit
- Wall planner
- LAB best practice agendas
- Mentoring timetable and icebreaker session
- Masterclass timetable and session resources

Overview of an innovative entry-level investment management programme aimed at attracting greater diversity
of young people into the investment industry.

Gain an overview of Henderson’s successful emerging talent programme and a whistle stop tour of the breadth
of jobs available to young people .
14.15 Using the online student application system: Aimi Driver, Lead Regional Manager, Career Ready
We will demonstrate how students will use the online application system and how Coordinators will manage the
recruitment and selection process using the new Career Ready web platform.
