AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY BASED ON WEATHER FORECAST
Wheat



Boro rice

Maize

Mustard and
Irrigate the crop which is about 21-25 and 40-45 days old.
Broadcasting of urea @ 30kg/acre after 2 days of irrigation.
Weeding must be done before application of urea.
Spray Isoproturon 75 % dust @600 gm as well as 2, 4 D@ 300
gm/acre in 350 liters of water to control broad and narrow leaf weed
(Up to 25-30 days old crop).
If symptom of termite appear then application of mixture of 20 kg
sand with Chlorpyriphos 20EC @ 2.0 liters should be done in
evening hours and subsequent irrigation is recommended.
Protect the nursery from cold stress by irrigation through fresh
water at the evening time.
Cutworm affected field must be sprayed with Chlorpyriphos 20EC
@ 2.0 liters or Phospomidone 25EC@ 2ml/L of water.
 Apply carbaryl 50% WP 40 gm in 10 liters of water after 20-25 days
after sowing. If needed again apply after 20-25 days(against stem
borer)
 Irrigate maize crop as 15-20 days interval.
 Monitoring of mustard crop against attack of aphid is advised. If
insect population above economic threshold level than spraying of
Rogar or Quinalphos @ 2.0 ml\litre water is recommended.
Thinning and weeding is recommended in late sown mustard crop.

Keeping in view of fall in temperature, light irrigation at evening
time is advised in tomato, chilli, sem and other vegetable crops.
Roughing of viral infested crop should be done in tomato & chilli.
Infected plant should be uprooted and buried in the soil.
Potato
Tomato

Due to high relative humidity, infection of late blight may occur in
potato and tomato. Constant monitoring is advised.
Application of light irrigation in furrow and flatbed sown field.

Fruits

Young plants of mango,litchi and papaya are very susceptible to
frost damage and these should be protected by covering with
polythene sheets or straw thatches




Poultry


Protect the milch animals from cold wind by keeping under
shelters. Keep litter of animal dry.
Provide 50-100gm good quality mixture of minerals per day for
better yielding of milk.
Give warm water for drinking
Provide heat by lighting 100W filament bulb @ 1 bulb per 20 newly
born chicks
Vaccination of birds as per the recommended age.
