and report back with more information. Mr Kartychak’ s son does one for West Allegheny and they like it.
They do offer a free assembly as well that she is looking in to.
VP: Rob Ahart had re-designed a website for us – flier to go home this week. Great updates and changes.
Everything people have asked for mre.pta.org
Treasurer: Frank went over the Scripts gift card program. Running now to help fund supplies such as crayons,
pencils. We have cash and carry gift cards to be sold at the play and swim party. So far, we have $110 in
profit. Shoparoo also doing well with close to $200 back for us. Basically easy money at no cost.
Secretary: absent
GENERAL BUSINESS:
 Box Tops – over $340 submitted this time around. Next collection is next week – November 9. Fliers
will come home by end of week. Tina Cooper talked about putting a box at Kuhn’s again. Jamie will
get box over there.
 Printing – Jamie is shopping around for a new printer. There have been past issues. Emerald Printing,
AJ at Pack & Ship – he does Independence. 7 cents for BW copies. HE does not have bulk mail sticker.
Cab Printing costs 11 cents for BW, 12 cents – he was high. Tina also gave printing press info as well as
Champ printing – Jamie will call them as well. For right now – she would like to use AJ Kokoski. Twyla
wants to make sure he can handle mail merge, double sided, folding, stapling etc. – given the RFE and
5k use the printer more than anyone else. Stacy asked to have Twyla and Frank work to look at other
PTAs – let’s purchase BULK mail. Motion to use AJ for now – Stacy, Twyla second. All approved to use
AJ for now pending other cost and further info.
 Race for Education: Twyla reported in. Race Day was great and feedback good. Done one the
blacktop due to weather. Yes our hay was stolen from the trailer. 1,300 mailers – up 75 from last year.
Website added this year for donations. Link is on the new MRE page. You can send the link our or post
to your Facebook page. Printer issues were big problem this year and hoping that does not hinder.
Lots of flat donations this year – up from last year.
 5K: Vicky Gill reported in $2400 in sponsorship, goal is $3000. 5K is May this year – again on the
website. Still looking for sponsors, 11 new ones for this year, 5 returning so far. We are trying to get
new signage and blockades for the road. Vicky will be meeting with Parks and Police Chief for logistics.
 Teacher Appreciation: Julie brought up Christmas. Every teacher got $100 cash and $50 in Scholastic
last year. Tina Cooper asked that we use the Script program to buy a card for Christmas. Only 2
teachers spent the 100 from the beginning of year. We will check with Sara Savage to see what
Scholastic dollars are left over. Frank will follow up on the $100 with Mrs. Cutone. Stacy brought up
maybe buying all a $5 or $10 gift card to SBUX or iTunes. Motion on table by Stacy, second from Jamie
