main door. He also suggested using the services of a security guard to monitor people entering the
building. Further talks will be held with Mr Cassar regarding this issue.
Celebration Day will be held on Thursday 30th April at the Aurora Theatre. The show starts at 11.30am.
All school children will take part in the musical Moving On. Tickets will be on sale in the coming days.
The price of a ticket is €3.50. This will help to finance such activity which will cost the school around
€1900.
Ms Maria Portelli suggested that the school keeps a list of participating students especially those playing
main parts so that from year to year different pupils will have the possibility of playing a part in the
musicals/plays organized by the school.
The Year 6 exchange visit preparations are in full swing. The Italian students will visit Gozo and Malta
from the 6th till the 10th of May. During these days, they will visit our school and have English language
lessons. In the afternoon program consists of cultural and educational visits. Our pupils will join their
Italian friends in these activities. The Italian students will spend 9th and 10th May in Malta. Our kids
have also been invited to spend these days with them with a sleep over. The Year 6 students will fly to
Italy on Friday 26th June and return on the first day of July. Although a lot of work needs to be done, the
school believes in the numerous benefits such experience can offer and is working hand in hand with
the Projects & Initiatives Section Student Services Department to make this dream come true. 21 Year 6
kids are participating in this initiative.
We also talked about other school activities including Amber’s visit to school, a hike on Comino, the final
phase of the Through the Eyes of a Child Project and NSTF Science presentation.
The Minister of Education Hon Evarist Bartolo visited the school in the morning. Several issues were
raised, the main focus being space, the lack of it. The Minister promised to help and offered possible
solutions.
