Jason Pooley
Owner & Teacher
Jason is the founder and owner of The House of Yoga. He
discovered yoga in 2002 whilst teaching tennis in Hong
Kong. Having been involved in the tennis world for a big
part of his life and playing at a high level he found that
yoga started to heal long term injuries sustained through
his game. After trying many different styles of yoga it was
Power Vinyasa that he really felt at home with and he
soon started to see and feel the benefits this particular
style brought to his daily life. Jason loves to share his
passion and his own experiences of yoga which is why he
founded THoY back in 2012. He took his initial training
with Fred Bush from Miami Power Yoga and has worked
closely with Claire Este- McDonald and Gregor Singleton
from Divine Play Yoga in Boston. Jason has travelled
extensively to the US over the past 4 years to train and be
part of the Baptiste Yoga Community which was founded
by Baron Baptiste. You will defiantly experience the
Baptiste journey into power sequence and methodology at
THoY which creates a foundation for yoga to be lived into
both on and off the mat. Jason's classes are energetic,
playful and fun. You will leave feeling inspired to take on
your day in a whole new way.

Teacher
I had been practicing yoga on and off for years but it was
in 2012 that I started at THoY and discovered Power
Vinyasa Yoga, which I was immediately hooked on as it’s
not only physically challenging but mentally, emotionally
and spiritually empowering too. I became a Karma yogi
and immersed myself in the amazing community vibe at
the studio, meeting some kindred spirits along the way.
My journey has led me to complete my 200hr Vinyasa
teacher training with THoY and the fabulous Claire EsteMcdonald and Gregor Singleton. This truly life changing
experience has inspired me off the mat to live with more
awareness and fulfilment and I look forward to helping
others on that same transformational journey and to
sharing the benefits of yoga.
Emma Harrie
Manager & Teacher
Emma’s journey at THoY began a few months after the
studio opened and she has been hooked ever since!
Emma is very excited to be joined in the role of studio
manager by flat mate and friend, Natalie Moore (no
escaping work now!). These guys trained together at
performing arts school, THoY the Musical perhaps? With
Emma’s background in contemporary dance she loves
and is continuously surprised by the parallels between the
disciplines. A moving meditation. Emma recently finished
her teacher training at THoY with internationally acclaimed
teachers Claire Este-Mcdonald and Gregor Singleton. She
is now teaching a few classes so look out for her on the
schedule! Come along and play.
Caroline Pegna
Teacher
I hope to help and inspire my students in the same way
that I feel inspired when I practice yoga. Over the past 6
years I have practiced lots of varied styles of yoga in
different places in the world, and my most memorable
experience was coming across Power Vinyasa. Since then
I have trained with some amazing teachers such as
Duncan Peak, Tiffany Cruikshank, Lance Schuler and
Baron Baptiste. For me yoga is a way of life and makes
me feel happy and healthier. I try to teach a class that is
not only physically challenging but also fun and playful!
