NEW JERSEY NATIVE AND XLIV SUPERBOWL CHAMPION MALCOLM JENKINS OPENS REGISTRATION
FOR A FREE YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP AT PISCATAWAY HIGH SCHOOL
Register Today For Youth Football Camp on June 22-23
Piscataway, NJ (May 18, 2012)—Registration is open for The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation Youth Football
Camp. Jenkins, a native of New Jersey and graduate of Piscataway High School, will host a free youth
football camp June 22-23 at Piscataway High School from 9a.m-3p.m. Registration is now open, and
youth between the ages of 7-17 are encouraged to sign up for this non-contact youth camp that will also
include Jenkins and other NFL players as guest coaches and speakers. To register, go online to
www.themalcolmjenkinsfoundation.org. Registration deadline is June 15, 2012. Space is limited.
“I am excited to host a football youth camp for the kids in my hometown.” said Jenkins. “To have the
opportunity to teach the fundamentals of the game, and to offer motivating and technical advice on the
same field where I cultivated my skill and love for the game, is a special honor for me.”
Jenkins is a graduate of Piscataway High School (2005) and The Ohio State University (2009, B.A.
Communications). He is the recipient of the Jim Thorpe Award, which recognizes and awards the
nation’s best collegiate defensive back. He is the 2nd award winner from The Ohio State University in the
23 years of Thorpe award recipients. In 2009, Jenkins was selected in the first round of the NFL draft
(14th overall), by the New Orleans Saints. In his rookie season, he helped to lead the team to a historic
Super Bowl win, the first in the franchise’s 40-year history.
As a member of the New Orleans Saints, Jenkins has been very active in the local community
participating and speaking at various community and public service events that are focused on enriching
and enhancing the lives of youth and teens. In the New Orleans community, Jenkins has become known
for his passion and commitment in helping youth and teens develop leadership and service skills through
mentoring and public service. Jenkins was named the 2011 New Orleans Saints NFL Player of the Year.
In early May, Jenkins joined President Bill Clinton in recognizing the high school graduates of the Urban
League of Greater New Orleans College Track Program. Jenkins awarded scholarships, on behalf of his
Foundation, to deserving young people in pursuit of higher learning.

PROJECT R.E.W.A.R.D.S (Reinforcing Education with Activities, Recreation & Developmental Supports)
Project R.E.W.A.R.D.S. is a youth development, education oriented program of The Malcolm
Jenkins Foundation and the Greater New Orleans Urban League - College Track partnership. Project
R.E.W.A.R.D.S offers a variety of unique interactive activities designed to provide underserved youth
with the essential skills, and resources necessary to help them identify personal and professional goals
and enhance their quality of life. The program actively engages students in grades 9 – 12, with an afterschool curriculum focusing on Building Self-Confidence, Health and Wellness, Strategic Thinking,
Leadership Development Skills & Mentoring.
PROJECT R.E.W.A.R.D.S. SCHOLARSHIP
The Project R.E.W.A.R.D.S. Scholarship is awarded annually to help deserving youth, in pursuit of higher
learning, with the financial assistance to attend an accredited college or university. Eligibility is based on
the students’ ability to complete the requirements of the Project R.E.W.A.R.D.S. and College Track
curriculums.
ANNUAL SUMMER YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP
The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation host annual youth football camps designed to deliver a solid
foundation in football fundamentals to youth ages 7-18. During this fun learning experience, campers
participate in competitions, while learning lessons of teamwork, consideration of others, self-discipline,
and how to attain their potential in sports and in life. The annual camps provide a fun and inspirational
opportunity for the community’s youth to meet and learn from NFL Players in an environment created
to inspire and motivate.
