Western Australia has been the fastest growing state in the country since 2007. Its current population is around 2.5 million, which is predicted to increase to 3.5 million by 2031.
WA needs to get ready for the increasing demand for housing development options. Allowing for more choices and flexibility in strata titles is one way that we can support this.
That’s why Landgate has been tasked with delivering reforms to the WA Strata Titles Act.
The benefits of this will be far reaching. It will provide more options for developers, owners and residents. It will also offer more flexibility for commercial offices, retailers, restaurants and services.
Mixed-use, high density and shared living environments will be improved through new strata schemes and more people will be able to live closer to work, shops and public infrastructure.
Strata development options will be more flexible and there will be better management and dispute resolution processes.
