FUNERAL HELD: Lionel H. Gagne
DATELINE: Highgate Center, Vermont
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was concelebrated Monday October 21, 2013, at
11 a.m. from Saint Louis Roman Catholic Church. Father Emmanuel I. Ajanma
was the celebrant and homilist. Concelebrating was Mr. Gagne's cousin, Father
Leonidas B. Laroche. Assisting as Deacon was The Reverend Mr. Gabriel Gagne
also a cousin. John Ferland and Paul Laroche served as Ministers of the Altar.
Music was provided by soloist, Maurice Gauthier accompanied by organist,
Carol Pellerin.
The White Funeral Pall was draped over Mr. Gagne's casket by granddaughters,
Stacy Gould and Nicole, Allysa, Allison and Liza Gagne. The Crucifix was then
placed by his wife, Laurianne. Special Words of remembrance were shared by
son-in-law, Paul LaFlame. Readings from both the Old and New Testament were
proclaimed by granddaughters, Erin Corbiere and Fellicia Cota. Granddaughters,
Marina Gagne, Gabby Gagne and Sage Gould presented The Offertory Gifts.
Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from Champlain
Cable, M&R Guns and Ammo, Mylan Technologies, Charbonneau's Body Shop,
Border Air, Prestige Aircraft, Geico Insurance, Abenaki Nation of Vermont
Including Title VII, PAC and the Circle of Courage, Swanton Village Green
Apartments, Highgate School District, Goose Point Campground, IBM,
Desorcie's Store, Grand Avenue Enterprises, Terricel Transit, M&T Sand and
Gravel, Route 105 Auto, Laroche Auto Repair and the parish community of
Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary / Saint Louis.
The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Gagne family lot in Saint
Louis Cemetery with Father Laroche assisted by Father Ajanma reading the
committal prayers. The bearers all grandsons were, Brad, Eric, Adam, Alex and
Kyle Gagne, Jason LaFlame, Peter Morin and nephew, Richard Gagne.
Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held at the Father Jean
Paul Laplante Parish Center hosted by, Mrs. Raymonde Choiniere and the Ladies
of Saint Anne.
