INC: Student has not completed all the given requirements at this time.
Assignments missed while absent will be recorded with the symbol “Ab” and not count toward their grade.
Students have a minimum of 2 days for each day absent to submit missed work for credit.
Should a student become ineligible they are guaranteed the opportunity in each class to raise their grade to become eligible in the
following week.
Student Evaluation:
Grades will be figured on a total points system. About 50% of your grade will come from the
text portion of the course. Labs will play a major part in your grade. Your lab book will be
graded periodically. This will make up the other half of your grade.
Requirements:
You will be required each day to show up with their text book, writing utensil and paper, and a
good attitude. Notes will be presented to the class and it is your responsibility to get them
written down. If class is missed for some reason then come see me and I’ll let you copy them
down. Homework assignments will be given periodically and due date will be announced when
the assignment is given. Labs will also be a big part of the class and your full participation is
expected. There will be a lab syllabus that will be handed out at a later time.

Behavior Plan:
The NUMBER ONE rule is show respect! Show respect for the teacher, the classroom, and
your fellow students. If this simple rule is followed then there shouldn’t be any problems. If a
problem does occur then the school discipline plan will be followed. Don’t cuss in my class. If I
hear you talking and cussing then you will write me a one page paper on why cussing is
inappropriate that will be due by class the next day. Cheating will not be tolerated! If you are
caught cheating it is an automatic 0 for that assignment or test. Cell phones need to remain on
silent and out of sight in class. If I see or hear a phone in class then I will acquire it for the day.
Communication is key! If you’re have a problem with something then come talk to me. Pull me
aside before or after class and we can discuss the situation.
Rewards / Extra Credit:
Extra credit opportunities will be offered at the instructor’s discretion.
