Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage - Neck, Back & Shoulders
Swedish massage is the practice of manipulating the body muscles to relieve tension and improve
circulation, using firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create
other health benefits. These include improved circulation and the management of chronic
conditions such as arthritis, sciatica and muscle spasms. Massage has physical, psychological
and physiological effects on the body which can include:Stress Relief
Pain Management
Improved Circulation
Improved Joint Mobility and Range of Movement
Decreased Muscle Tension
Remedial Massage - a deep tissue approach to work specifically on muscle tensions, pain
and restricted movement, due to injury, bad posture habits etc
Sports Massage – as Remedial Massage, but the therapist has specific knowledge and
training in treating sports and sports-related injuries. This method is good for athletes and
others to help maintain their exercise programme.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic drainage is a delicate form of massage that
stimulates the body’s lymphatic system, improving the
metabolism, helping the body to eliminate waste and toxins and
providing a boost to the immune system. A delicate form of
massage by specialist practitioner that helps the body to drain
excess fluids and encourages proper functioning of the
lymphatic and immune systems
Breuss Massage
The Breuss Massage is a very gentle Spinal Massage that safely
stretches, nourishes, aligns and energizes the spine.
Thai Foot Massage
This involves massage, acupressure and stretches to the feet and lower
legs. It has elements of Reflexology, Shiatsu, Yoga and Chinese massage.
With the use of a Thai stick, the reflex points of the foot are stimulated.
The massage techniques stimulate the Sen lines. Both the points and the
Sen lines are based upon the meridian lines used in Chinese massage.
Reflexology
Foot Reflexology
Hand Reflexology
Auricular (Ear) Reflexology
Reflexology works with a specific pressure technique
on ‘reflex’ points on the feet, hands or ear. Very
relaxing and a good balancing treatment to help many
conditions.
Hydrotherm
Hydrotherm is a truly unique, three-dimensional
massage
technique, which allows the therapist to slide
their hands
under, over and around the client’s body in an
uninterrupted
motion.
The advantages of Hydrotherm Massage are
numerous.
Quite apart from achieving new heights of
relaxation
during a comfortable, undisturbed treatment,
consider the
benefits to those clients who cannot physically lie
face down –
heavily pregnant clients, the elderly and those
with impaired
mobility, asthma etc. All can receive a
Hydrotherm
Treatment without the discomfort associated with a conventional massage.
Acupuncture
A form of Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for centuries. It is based on the
theory that energy flows through channels of energy, called meridians, throughout the
body and illness and dis-ease affects the overall balance of the body. The treatment
aims to correct these imbalances and is highly effective in the treatment of pain.
Cosmetic Acupuncture - also known as acupuncture facial rejuvenation or
acupuncture facelift. The remedy cosmetic acupuncture may offer is the reduction or
erasure of fine lines and the softening of deeper ones. Additionally, patients may
experience the firming of jowls and a reduction in the size of under-eye bags. It is not
unusual for clients to report enhanced skin tone, increased energy and eyes that
sparkle.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu therapy involves the systematic application of manual pressure to the body in
order to assess and treat a variety of conditions. Shiatsu treatments have a regulatory
influence on the autonomic nervous system, thereby improving organ function and
reducing muscle tension.
Bowen and Emmett Techniques
The Emmett Technique
The Emmett Technique is a unique body therapy technique created by Ross Emmett. It
offers an alternative treatment to ease pain and discomfort and may benefit many other
conditions.
The treatment can be done fully clothed and incorporates a gentle physical release of
muscle groups whilst using a verbal approach to create attitude change

technique that helps relieve all kinds of pain,
it is so gentle that it can be used on anyone,
from newborn infants to the elderly.
The Bowen Technique is not massage,
acupressure or chiropractic. There is no
manipulation, adjustment or force used. The
practitioner uses thumbs and fingers to
gently move muscles and tissues. In between
each set of moves, the practitioner pauses.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy can influence the deeply held patterns of disease both physical and psychological,
which accumulate throughout life as a result of injury and illness, tissues contract. Sometimes particularly when
the shock is severe or accompanied by strong emotions, the tissues stay contracted and become held in the
body, leading to ill-health and dysfunction. Any trauma, stresses, strains or tensions which remain in the body
restrict the body’s functioning and may give rise to problems over the years. The effects may be both
physical (such as back pain, migraine or digestive disorders) and emotional (such as anxiety or
depression). Balancing your Craniosacral system speeds your recovery and helps to relieve your pain while
improving neural, hormonal, muscular, visceral and brain function.

RECONNECTIVE HEALING
Healing can come in all forms. Place yourself on the table, relax, close your eyes and simply
notice. Observe. Become both the observer and the observed.
Withdraw your participatory thought processes and simply observe when there's something to
notice, as well as when there's nothing to notice.
Lie there and let go, as if you had a little unexpected rest time. Don't breathe in a special way,
don't visualise relaxing scenes or a desired result, don't meditate or repeat mantras, and don't
"do" anything. Just be ready to receive. That is all that is needed. – Dr Eric Pearl
