Intent Statement

As a leadership board member, I hope to contribute to the ONS chapter with my personal experience, both as a staff nurse and as an NP/CNS student. I hope to grow and learn through other nurses on the board, as well as contribute knowledge regarding influential political happenings that influence nurses. I have been a member of ONS, starting in Santa Clara chapter in the San Jose area since 2011, and enjoy networking with colleagues and attending learning sessions.

As the government liaison for the GLA ONS chapter, I hope to bring a greater awareness of legislative items and health policies that affect oncology nurses. Being cognizant of healthcare agenda items will allow nurses to potentially contribute to the conversation when decisions are being made.
