Brief Description of Workshop:
This class is part of a series entitled "The Seasons of Shiatsu", each class
highlighting a different season and the meridians associated with that season.
In this class, the student will explore the water element, which is associated with
winter, and specifically the kidney and bladder meridians. Discussion will include
the history and theory of Asian bodywork and the use of food energetics and
stretches which energize these meridians. This class focuses on the location of
the pathways, specific points along the channels, learning to address areas of
excess and deficiency, as well as developing proper body mechanics and
technique.
