Facilities & Entry Fee Information
Charles Watt Tennis Courts*
Tennis
Charles Watt Tennis Courts are the home for both the men’s and women’s tennis teams. The court
features six regulation courts and Lot 9 which is the parking lot designated for the courts and its visitors
can be found directly across from the courts. Athletic Training facilities are located in the rear of the Old
Student Union Building which is located behind Lot 9 near the library. For more parking details and
information of how to access the locations please look under “Parking (pg. 13).” No pets are allowed in
the facility.

College Center/Merkert Gymnasium*
Basketball/Volleyball
The College Center/Merkert Gymnasium is the home court for both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball
teams as well as the women’s Volleyball team. The seating capacity within the gymnasium is 1,560.
Merkert is also home to an athletic training facility and athletic offices. Locker rooms are located within
the gymnasium and visiting teams will have access to their use before and after games. The visitor’s team
bench is located on the far side of the score table, the emergency exit end of gym. To access the venue,
park in Lot 11 and proceed down a path which is across the street from the parking lot, heading away
from W.B. Mason Stadium. Follow path to the end, bear left at the fork. Please use side door of the
facility; there will be a sign on door to direct the team where to go. For more parking details and
information of how to access the locations please look under “Parking (pg. 13).” No pets are allowed in
the facility.

Dry Water Farm*
Equestrian
Dry Water Farm is home to the Stonehill College Equestrian team. It is a 35 acre property that is located
off campus in Stoughton, Massachusetts approximately 10 minutes away from the Stonehill College
campus. This beautiful farm has access to all the necessary equipment for managing and taking care of
the horses used by the team. Dry Water Farm has both an outdoor dust arena and a large indoor arena.
Directions to Dry Water Farm can be found under “Directions (pg. 11) and parking information is listed
under “Parking (pg. 13).” No pets are allowed in the facility.

Fr. William Gartland, CSC Field*
Softball
Fr. William Gartland, CSC Field is the home of the Stonehill College softball team. The field is near the
men’s and women’s soccer field and can be seen from Route 123/Belmont Street. When entering the
campus through the main entrance proceed down the Main Campus Road past the soccer and softball
fields. Parking is available near the field at the Recreational field lots. Enter through yellow gate and
park on the left hand side. Athletic Training facilities are located in the College Center. A private locker
room is located in the College Center, unless otherwise noted. The visitor dugout is located on the third
baseline. For more parking details and information of how to access the locations please look under
“Parking (pg. 13).” No pets are allowed in the facility.

Foxboro Sports Center*
Ice Hockey
The Foxboro Sports Center is the home rink for the Stonehill College Ice Hockey team. This state of the
art complex is located away from the Stonehill Campus in Foxboro, Massachusetts which is
approximately a 25 minutes drive. The arena has two NHL regulation sized ice rinks and one synthetic
ice practice surface rink. Locker rooms will be designated at the facility. Directions to Foxboro Sports
Center can be found under “Directions (pg. 11) and parking information is listed under “Parking (pg.
13).” No pets are allowed in the facility.

James “Lou” Gorman Field*
Baseball
Lou Gorman field is home to Stonehill College’s men’s baseball team. The field is viewable from Route
138/Washington Street. The field is accessible by entering spectator’s gate at W.B. Mason stadium and
following the black path behind bleachers. A general use locker room is available, but is not dedicated to
a visiting team. Athletic Training facilities are located in the rear of the Old Student Union Building
which is located behind Lot 9 near the library. The visiting team bench is on the third base sideline.
Visiting team and spectator parking can be found in Lot 11. For more parking details and information of
how to access the locations please look under “Parking (pg. 13).” No pets are allowed in the facility.

Skyhawk Field*
Soccer
Skyhawk Field is home to the men’s and women’s soccer teams. The field is made of natural grass and
can be seen from Route 123/Belmont Street. Enter through the main entrance and the field will be on the
left hand side. Continue down Main Road. Visitor and spectator parking will be on left hand side located
at the recreation fields. Enter through yellow gate and park on the left hand side. A general availability
locker room is located in the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex, unless otherwise noted. Athletic
Training facilities are located in the Old Student Union Building which is located in the rear of Lot 9 near
the library. The visitor’s bench is on the east side of the field, opposite end from the scoreboard. For
more parking details and information of how to access the locations please look under “Parking (pg. 13).”
No pets are allowed in the facility.

W.B. Mason Stadium*
Field Hockey/Football/Lacrosse/Track and Field
W.B. Mason Stadium is home to Stonehill College’s field hockey, football, lacrosse, and men’s/ women’s
track and field teams. It is the college’s newest athletic facility and can hold 2,400 spectators. The
stadium contains an artificial turf playing surface, a 400-meter eight lane track, and specialty areas for
track and field events. The lighting at the stadium also makes it possible to hold evening events. Locker
rooms are available at nearby locations away from the stadium depending on the sport. Athletic Training
facilities can be found at the Old Student Union Building located behind Lot 9 near the library. Visiting
team and spectator parking can be found at Lot 11. For more parking details and information of how to
access the locations please look under “Parking (pg. 13).” No pets are allowed in the facility.

Start going north on Washington Street (MA-138), toward Main Street. Turn right onto Union Street. Union

Directions from Stonehill College:
Exit main entrance (Rt. 123) and take a left. Continue straight on Route 123 approximately 2 miles to Main
Street. At the traffic light on Main Street, take a left. Proceed through 3 sets of traffic lights. At fourth traffic
light, take right onto Centre Street for about 1.5 miles. The hospital will be on the left hand side.
Supplies:
The following supplies will be available for each sporting event: ice, ice bags, water, cups, AED, splints,
crutches, radio communication, taping area, modalities (ATC may use). In certain circumstances, additional
supplies will be available to a specific sport. We cannot provide tape and other supplies, but we will be glad to
help your athletes if they bring their own supplies.
Coverage
A certified athletic trainer will cover all home games. A physician or physician assistant and an ambulance
will cover all home football games. A physician, physician assistant or an ambulance will cover all home
hockey games.

The Athletic Communication office will provide box scores, results, etc. To each team that visits
Stonehill College. If the visiting Director of Athletic Communication is not with the team, the
Stonehill Athletic Communications office will e-mail the game file and any other appropriate
information to the opponent’s Athletic Communication office following the contest.
If the opposing Director of Athletic Communication has any specific requests, such as a fax or
email list, please contact the Stonehill Athletic Communication office and we will do our best to
fulfill those requests.

Team buses and vans must park in Lot 11, which is behind the Sally Blair Ames Sports
Complex.
 Enter Stonehill College through main gate from Route 123
 Follow Main Campus Road past the soccer and softball fields
 Lot 11 will be on left hand side
 Entire and park in designated spots (do not park on the grass)
o Spectator parking can also be found in Lot 11
o Some of the athletic events may need addition parking locations. If Lot 11 is full
to capacity spectators should use either Lots 2 or 9
 Directions to Lots 2 & 9 are as followed:
o Exit Lot 11 onto Main Campus Road and turn left
o Drive past the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex
o Lots 2 & 9 will be on the right hand side
Equestrian:
Parking is available on site at Dry Water Farm
Football:
Buses will drop team off in Lot 11, located behind the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex, which
is adjacent to W.B. Mason Stadium.

Team buses and vans will park in a gated off area near the field located at the Recreation Fields.

 Follow Main Campus Road past the soccer and softball fields
 At the next bend in the road there will be a yellow gate
 Enter and park on the left side only with front of the vehicle facing the split rail fence
 Don’t park on the right, this is a practice area for Track and Field
o Spectator parking can be found at this location
Tennis:
Team buses and vans will park in Lot 9.
