The Milwaukee Veterinary Medical Association invites all DVM’s and CVT’s to a continuing
education seminar:
“I Read it on the Internet: Facts, Myths and Misconception about Pet Nutrition”
Presented by: Dr. Elaina Goldsmith, DVM
Veterinary Communication Manager, Nestle PURINA PetCare
Dr. Elaina Goldsmith received her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University in 1998, and practices
small animal medicine in Wichita, Kansas. She joined Nestle Purina in 2005 as a Veterinary Technical
Marketing Manager, providing nutritional training and field coaching for Purina’s Veterinary Sales
Associates. Currently, Dr. Goldsmith acts as a Veterinary Communication Manager, continuing to provide
nutritional technical support to the sales force and to veterinary colleges in the Midwest. As a member of
NEHRAC, Dr. Goldsmith receives specialized training that will enable her to participate in needed emergency
operations during a time of threat to America’s health or food supply.
This lecture will address common ingredient misconceptions (ie, byproducts and corn) without
mentioning particular diets.
