GIRLS LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
2-Days Master Training on Women Leadership and Career Development
The Department of Management Sciences, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University,
Peshawar arranged a 2 Day conference on “Girls Leadership” in collaboration with Centre for
Awareness, Training and Development (CATD). Ms. Sabahat Javed, Mr. Danish Khan
Yousafzai, Miss Anum Sana and Mr. Azizullah Bangash were the guest speakers along with the
team of trainers. The aim of the conference was to empower females of today, to pave a strong
pathway to equality in leadership, take charge, create success and make a difference. The 2 days
of conference were full of exciting sessions, engaging talks and inviting young community
leaders as guest speakers sharing their insights to inspire young brains. The conference was
highly interactive, provided an opportunity for girls to express their thoughts and experiences.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar, Prof.
Dr. Razia Sultana addressed the young women leaders that leadership has different levels and
shapes. It starts within one’s own self, then into the classroom, to the university and finally to the
community. She quoted that” Girls are by birth leaders. Such leadership trainings polish and
enhance their inborn skills and such trainings are an added opportunity needed from time to time
in order to know how people bring new perspective to your already present leadership skills.”
The students declared the training conference fruitful. According to them the training helped
them in Personality building, to explore hidden talents, confidence building and motivation.
The conference ended with the certificate distribution ceremony among the organizers and the
students.
