they used, what they ate)
Have a look in the supermarket and list the
prices of some of your favourite foods. Can
you add them up?
Cave art: make up your own story, it can be
about anything you like but tell it through cave
art pictures!

points
Imagine that you have been whisked
back in time to Pre-historic Britain. You
have been allowed to take one person or
one object from 2014. What or who
would you take and how would you
explain your choice? Explain your choice
to Stig!
Have a look in the supermarket and list the
prices of some of your favourite foods. Can
you add them up? Choose 5 items. Can you
work out how much change you would have
from a £20 note.
With and adult, can you forage for your own
materials and create a model of a tool a Stone
Age person may have used. Be creative and
research in non-fiction books and on the
internet.

points
Stone Age and Iron Age people could
not pop to the shops for food.
Everything they ate had to be caught or
collected. Write your own recipe for a
stone age dinner using the sort of
ingredients that would be available to
them. Remember to include features of
non-fiction texts eg-title, method,
numbers, imperative (bossy) verbs,
connectives,
Stone Age people did not understand
numbers as we do. Archaeologists have found
these markings in cave that they think might
be stone age counting. Can you come up with
your own method of counting? Will you count
in sets of 10 or will your counting system
work in another way?
During the Stone Age, people lived in caves. If
you had to live in a cave what would you like it
to look like and what would be in it? Be as
creative and imaginative as you like! Maybe you
could build your own 3D cave to bring in!
Reading is as vital as ever and 10 minutes daily is what we would recommend. Your child will also receive weekly spellings, and should also
revise their times tables 2x 5x 10x. We look forward to marking this term’s homework!
