INSTUCTIONS AFTER RUBBERBAND
LIGATION OF INTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS
You may have some discomfort for 48 hours or longer. Fill the pain
medicine prescription if you need it. Much of the pain is due to muscle
spasm. A hot tub bath is often very helpful.
You may see some blood when the hemorrhoid falls off in about 48 hours.
If you see a lot of blood (large clots in the bowel), please call us.
Refrain from using aspirin, Motrin or Aleve for five (5) days after
banding.
If you do not move your bowels for 48 hours after the banding take on
ounce of Milk of Magnesia
