a. Exhibitors must comply with GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS (Agriculture Division), IAFE
National Code of Show Ring Ethics, and IL DEPT. OF AG HEALTH REQUIREMENTS.
b. All entries in Breeding Classes MUST be registered in the name of the exhibitor prior to June 1 of the
current year.
c. Registration papers must be with person showing purebred animals – or they may not show.
d. Steers must have been born on or after January 1 of the year prior to the Show.
e. Steers will be weighed and placed into classes at the discretion of the superintendent.
f. Steers that do not show breed characteristics will be shown as crossbreds or AOB. Decision of Beef
Superintendents will be final.
g. All steers may be subject to a white towel test.
h. Steers will be mouthed only if challenged by another exhibitor.
i. All Market classes must be weighed in by 8pm on Tuesday of Fair Week.
j. Heifers CANNOT be shown in steer classes – Except for Grand Champion Market Class.
k. Neck rope is required on all animals when tied in stall.
l. Animals may be disqualified and all premiums forfeited for violating the IAFE National Code of Show
Ring Ethics.
m. 2nd place animal from class of champion to show for Reserve.
n. 1 fan for every animal will be allowed. They must be kept out of the walkway, overhead fans ONLY no
butt fans in walkway. If breakers keep breaking 1 fan for 2 will be required.
o. Must bring your own bedding. Shavings or wood chips. No Straw for Beef
Cattle. Bedding for tie-outs can be shavings, wood chips or straw.
Jr. Open Class: Entry Fees: $10 each - Show Time: 2:00pm Wednesday - Show Ring
Open Class: Entry Fees: $10 each – Show Time 2:00pm Friday – Show Ring
