appointment.
Place used cell phones, chargers, and ink cartridges in sealed clear plastic bags and place on top of recycling bin.
Items like TV’s and computers require a yellow sticker and are to be put out on trash day. They are taken separately
to a facility that reclaims the metals and recycles other parts.
Oil and Antifreeze Open to the public, there is a drop-off site located at 361 Michael Lane.
Trash
Containers require pre-paid Aberdeen trash stickers to cover the cost of the County-imposed tipping fee. Only trash
items require stickers (not recyclables or yard waste). Stickers should be placed on the bags or on the top piece of
trash inside of the can. In cold or rainy weather, stickers should be placed around the “neck” of the bag to reduce
slippage.

Recycling Curbside Collection Tips
All recyclables may be put out every week. No more alternating between paper one week and bottles and cans the next week.
Residents may continue to use green and blue bins, but may also choose to buy their own.
Please be sure to place one of the City’s new recycling stickers on your recycling can of choice.
Recyclables (smaller) need to be put in plastic bins. Plastic bags are not acceptable, because they slow down the sorting process.
NEW!!! Large recyclable plastic items such as pails, buckets, lawn furniture, toys, coolers, etc. may be left next to the recycling
bins.
Caps, labels and lids can remain on bottles, cans, and jars.
All food container recyclables with food residue should be slightly rinsed.
Have your items at the curb by 6 a.m. to ensure pickup.
