Players will play in the age division that they will be playing during next Spring (see Div/Birth Year Table below); there is no fall ball for 6U
Fall Ball is a developmental season. Fundamentals should be taught to the players; if players are moving up to a new division, they will be
learning new playing rules, if applicable.
Fall Ball rules are specified by the LA/South Bay League, not by ESGS
Teams may be larger than normal due to the fact that soccer is a primary fall sport and many kids may have soccer conflicts.
Players may NOT participate on a travel softball team concurrently with playing Fall Ball.
Practices start as early as the end of August or September 1; practices are usually twice a week but may vary depending on the team’s
manager
All games are double headers on the weekends, either Saturday or Sunday against other leagues in our district; times are typically 9&11
am or 1&3 pm
Approximately half of the weekends will have away games (teams can be as close as Manhattan Beach and furthest is La Mirada or
Downey)
Games typically start the weekend after Labor Day through the first or second week of November (about 10 weekends).
One of the leagues (typically San Pedro) hosts the Turkey Tournament the weekend before Thanksgiving. This fall ball tournament is
optional and up to each manager to determine if his/her team will attend the Turkey Tournament; registration fees for this tournament are
split among each player who will participate in the tournament; if there are two fall ball teams in one division, those teams may not be
combined to participate in the Turkey Tournament.

FALL PITCHING CLUB
If your daughter is interested in participating in Pitching Club this Fall, please indicate your interest. We are firming up the details as we do not have the
field availability schedule yet. Players must pay up front $25/5 session and bring their own catcher; sessions are planned for mid week
