An alluring, and potent concoction, i.e. not if you are driving home. Credited to
Robert Bolt a bartender from Long Island(1970’s), or Charles Bishop a moonshiner from Tennessee (1930’s).
Tennessee was a ‘dry’ state, bring back prohibition! Seriously this is a strong drink so have one only. Vodka,
gin, tequila, rum, triple sec, coke, and a squeeze of half a lemon.
The recipe is based on a famous Brazilian drink that was introduced to Kenya. It is now one of
the most widely consumed cocktails in Kenya and has spread throughout North and South Africa. Made with
vodka lime and a honey dawa stick.
Dates back to 1930, from Havana, Cuba. Mint, lime, bacardi go to making this a drink for poets
and revolutionaries.
Thought to be a cure for malaria in the late 1800’s but later proven to be
the rum that wiped out the mosquitos.
This is better than on the beach. Our Cocktailarian, Gobe, decided to add Southern
Comfort and Cointreau to the usual mix. So you will still get the vodka and peach schnapps, So you will still
get the vodka and peach schnapps with cranberry and orange juice.
