Zumba o Amanda Ries is a certified Zumba instructor; would put on a class for free. o We could have an event and charge participants in order to raise money. o Proceeds could go toward care packages for the troops. Special Events – Adam Stahon Pirates game: 140 tickets sold o TUB sitting this week and then Monday (or until tickets are sold out) Homecoming pep rally: o Thursday Oct. 9th in the Field House o Handing out t-shirts Homecoming parade: o Saturday Oct 11th o First year senators will walk in the parade and also those available who aren’t in another organization Student Concerns – Ian Davis Campus parking: (Ian talked to JJ Walker) o Change as of 2009: Put in writing that there was 24/7 enforcement o Visitor parking passes are available (Just contact Public Safety two days in advance. If they show up spur of the moment, just contact JJ and they will revoke the tickets. o Lots available for those with decal after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends: Shaw, Beeghley, Minteer, Admissions, Visitor football section. o There are more tickets being handed out because there are less decals that were sold. o Any amount that is made from the fines goes back to the Public Safety budget. o This meeting was just an informational meeting. Ian didn’t look into changing anything at this meeting; it was strictly to gather the facts. Academic buildings o Concern: Hoyt and Patterson being locked early or closed on weekends. o Both issues are resolved. Campus Relations – Matt Baurle Toilet Paper Distribution Old Business a. It would be useful to have a smaller group that could present the thoughts of campus to Public Safety in a cohesive and respectful manner. c. WoodstOX is this Sunday, Sept. 14th at 2 p.m. in the Amphitheater. Tank tops are being sold for $12. d. Marqus is doing his capstone as well, just men volunteers. e. Brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon are hosting a tailgate at 5:00 at the house before the football game. f. Zeta Tau Alpha is having a car wash at Huntington Bank from 1-4 on Sunday. g. FCA is having a pizza party to watch the Steelers game h. Sigma Kappa has their first informal party Tuesday at 8:00. i. SADD is having a meeting next Tuesday the 16th in Mueller at 7:00 j.
