2014 SUMMER SCHEDULE:
Monday through Thursday 8:30 – 2:30
SESSION I: JUNE 16 – JULY 3
SESSION II: JULY 7 – JULY 24
Summer School begins on June 16th, with the standard classroom schedule. Each session includes 3
weeks of classroom instruction. An extension can be granted for courses that do not limit or affect the
student’s upcoming Fall Course Assignments or Fall Classification. The student must allow enough time for
the grade to transfer to the home school for Fall scheduling and classification.
Flexible Scheduling Option: Memorial Private School is highly specialized in individual and small group
instruction year-round on an on-going basis. The school specializes in facilitating and supporting self-paced
learning. Therefore, as an added benefit, Memorial Private High School can provide flexibility for summer
vacation schedules and sports activities.
A Satellite student is one who does not attend Summer School for a particular course. A Satellite student
takes the course with one-to-one teaching vs being in a classroom. Eight teaching sessions are included in
the fee and are scheduled by appointment, similar to tutoring.
Students may work at their own pace at MPHS. This means that some students may be able to absorb the
information more quickly, re-schedule their final and finish early. Likewise, students that need more time
can extend their session, for an additional fee. Each student derives a personal schedule with the teacher
for each course taken. If further instruction is desired, it can be provided separately through our afternoon
labs or tutoring.
Summer and Satellite School students are required by Memorial Private High School to obtain the
signature of their home school counselor to insure the proper transfer of the course credit(s).
PRICING: Each Summer School course semester is $450, and a Satellite Course is $485. Textbooks are
provided and the fee is included; all textbooks must be returned upon the completion of the course.

Registration and Books: Payment by check for the amount of a course semester will secure your registration. Registration
is on a first-come, first-serve basis. A class is subject to cancel if the number of students is insufficient. Students are
responsible for damaged or lost textbooks ($50 per textbook if not returned, and release of the Transcript is contingent upon
book return or book payment). All balances must be cleared before the transcript can be issued.
