Senior Quartz Crystal Engineer

Job Duties will include:

Q-Tech Corporation, a leader in quartz crystal and oscillator
technology, is seeking a talented, creative individual to work
at our Culver City, CA facility. We are seeking an engineer
with design and application experience with high
performance quartz crystal applications. The successful
candidate will work closely with our design and production
teams to develop new products and efficient designs for our
customers in the aerospace and other hi-rel industries.
Knowledge of angle control, effect of lapping and
contouring on motional parameters, vapor deposition of
precious metals on quartz, and vacuum systems and their
effect on performance are important. The ideal individual
should have a degree in Engineering, Materials Science,
Chemistry, or Physics with five years of proven experience
in the field. The desire to explore and apply leading-edge
techniques and the ability to work in a stimulating
environment are wanted.

Run and schedule the daily operation of QTechs Crystal Group to support production in
the rest of the company.
Lead ongoing R&D efforts to build new
products, improve existing products.
Improve and develop design tools.
Improve existing products and processes.
Support Marketing and Quality Assurance
departments as a technical resource.
The ideal candidate will have many of the
following qualifications:

MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics, or
Material Science. A BS degree with experience
is also acceptable.

Experience in the manufacture and processing
of Quartz Crystals is highly desirable.
Any experience designing or testing for space
applications is also desirable.
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency with CAD software such as Solid
Works.
Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum
Analyzers, Power Supplies, etc… would be
very helpful.
Strong analytical and organizational skills
A passion for Physics and Material Science is a strong
indicator of future success for this position.
