Travel (domestically and internationally) to accredited centers to assess
the quality of their certification programs for teacher training
For the past four years, I have averaged more than 20 Assessments per year.
These assessments have been conducted in the following places: the USA,
Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and Argentina. I have also
overseen four Trainers-in-Training and trained up an Assessor.

Ran own CELTA centre for several years

These were among my responsibilities:







Hired, trained, and scheduled all FT and PT faculty and staff
Conducted placement testing of approximately 1000 students per year
Taught intensive ESL reading, writing, listening, and speaking to classes
comprised of students from numerous geographical, cultural, and linguistic
backgrounds
Administered TOEFL, TOEIC, and IELTS examinations
Set up and lead-taught the Cambridge ESL Teacher Certification program
Created computer and paper-based materials for all levels of our curriculum
Met with European colleagues to strategize organizational and curriculum
development




Developed, planned and taught two-week Teacher Refresher Courses for
EFL teachers who were non-native speakers (four times a year)
Developed English for Specific Purposes training for closed groups. Past
courses included the following:

Curacao, Dutch Antilles;

a teacher-training course for Danish Adult-Ed. teachers who taught their
courses in English;

a group of Austrian teens needing intensive English language & American
cultural input;

annual groups of Japanese state and local government employees who
needed language / cultural training before serving internships in the US
-
on-site training for a team of engineers at the European Space Agency
in French Guyana
