Course Description
This class focuses on the classic Gothic novels Dracula, Frankenstein, and Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and their influence on popular culture. It has a heavy
emphasis on literature with a secondary focus on essay-writing skills.

Major projects will include a creative writing extension of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.
Hyde, a research project on a supernatural creature and its treatment in
popular culture, an essay examining a theme in Dracula, and a persuasive
essay related to Frankenstein.
