Seniors,please continue to check the Scholarship board in Guidance as
new scholarships come in weekly. Also, the Norwood Scholarship
Foundation applications are available in Guidance.
Attention Mustang Mentors: There is an important, mandatory meeting
today after school in Room 118. Please see Ms. Cohn if you cannot
attend.
Boy's Tennis: There will be a preseason meeting for all boys
interested in playing tennis today at 2:30, in room 212.
Attention seniors: Would you like to recreate a photo from your
childhood for the yearbook? Please submit photos from elementary
school or younger to NHSyb2015@gmail.com or Tweet it to @NHSyb by
Friday.
Friendship Club meets today in the Dining Hall from 2:30 to 3:30.
We'll be making posters for our Faculty vs. Seniors Basketball Game
that will be Thursday March 12.
Attention AP students: if you are planning on taking an AP exam in May
you must bring in your deposit of $17 per exam to Mrs. Shore in room
229 by Wednesday, March 4th! Make checks payable to Norwood High
School. Multiple exam deposits can be combined on one check for the
deposit only. Please list each test name on the check. Make sure you
sign up for each exam you are taking in the AP sign up binder in room
229 to guarantee your exam spot. Please see Mrs. Shore in room 229
with any questions.
Attention Volleyball Players: There will be a mandatory meeting today
at 2:30 in the gym, for any boy interested in trying out for
volleyball this spring.
Tryouts for spring sports are Monday, March 16th. You must register
online at www.norwoodmustangs.com. All paperwork must be turned into
the athletic department prior to tryouts. You will not be eligible to
participate if you are missing any of your paperwork. This includes
your physical, permission slip and $200 athletic user fee.
Our Spring Athletic Information Night will be held on Wednesday, March
4th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. All spring athletes are required to
attend. Please have a parent/guardian accompany you.
There is a Student Council/Style on the Hill Meeting today in room
325. Everyone should be there. Last call for song selections/changes
to the program.
Style on the Hill will be held Friday March 6th in the auditorium.
Come see the seniors model their prom attire and some of the most
talented senior males battle for the title of "Mr. Man on the Hill"
and cash prize of $100! This is a very entertaining night- don't miss
out on the fun! Buy your tickets during lunch!
Attention juniors, the deadline for registering for the SAT Prep
Program has been extended to this Friday. The classes start next
Wednesday and Thursday and meet weekly for 8 weeks, and you can choose
the night that works best for you. Registration information is
available on the Guidance Department website, and you can see Mr.
Powers with any questions.
The Spirit Club will meet tomorrow in the dining hall. The Pennies
for Patient drive is top on the agenda. New members always welcome questions see Mrs. Glynn.
The next Post Prom meeting will be held tonight at 7pm. Please note
that the meeting will be in the DINING HALL. All Style on the Hill
participants must attend.
Next week is Foreign Language Week. Come celebrate at Chipotle on
Monday night with a fundraiser to support the Spain Trip! Pick up a
flyer from a Foreign Language Teacher, or just tell the cashier.
There will be a meeting for all boys basketball players in Room 325
immediately after school today to collect uniforms and discuss
the off-season.
There will be a mandatory National Honor Society meeting on Tuesday
in room 318. All NHS members plan on attending.
