NURSES AND RESIDENTS IN GENERAL - Any nurse or surgical resident (in
Arizona, or another state in the United States as well as other countries) is eligible to
submit an Abstract to be considered for approval for a poster or to do a podium
presentation in front of the international Symposium audience.
CLARIFICATION FOR SURGICAL RESIDENTS IN ARIZONA – Over the past few
years, the Arizona Chapter of the ACS Resident Competition was held in conjunction
with the AZTRACC Symposium. This year they are in separate locations and days. You
can submit your abstract for consideration for a poster and/or podium presentation for
AZTRACC as well as the ACS-AZ competition!! Again, they are distinct and acceptance
at one does not influence or inhibit acceptance at the other and you must submit
separately to be considered for both!!
o AZTRACC SYMPOSIUM – Your abstract will be considered for podium and/or
poster presentation with all of the other abstracts submitted to AZTRACC (not
just Arizona surgical residents). Submit your abstract to [email protected]
using the abstract template (below) and deadline outlined.
o ACS-AZ – see the ACS-AZ website for details on submission.
www.azacs.org/information/information1.html
On the abstract form please indicate whether your submission is for:
o Poster only
o Audience presentation only
o Poster if audience presentation is not approved by the Committee
Those abstracts accepted for poster or audience presentations will be notified by
September 11th, 2014.
The presenting author should be listed first in the order of authors. All communications
will be directed to the presenting author only.
An individual may submit more than one abstract.
Failure to register and pay for the conference will disqualify the abstract from audience
presentation or poster placement.
