Welcome Back Warriors! We hope our entire North Atlanta community had a wonderful holiday
season and that you are relaxed and ready for second semester, which begins TODAY!
The Center for the Arts: Two Must-Do Events
1) Don't miss "Barrage" on Thursday, January 19, at 7:00 PM in the NAHS Theatre. Barrage
is a high-octane fiddle fest that features an international cast performing an ecletic mix of music,
song and dance. This tribute to the versatility of the violin has been described as "Stomp" meets
"Riverdance." Check out the group in action www.barragevideo.com. Tickets are $15 for
students and $20 for adults and will be available at the door.
2) Enjoy dinner at the Corner Bakery Cafe on January 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The
Corner Bakery Cafe will donate 15 percent of your purchase to the Center for the Arts. The Cafe
is located at Lenox Square, 3393 Peachtree Road.
Proceeds from both the Barrage performance and Corner Bakery will benefit our Spring
Musical, West Side Story. In addition, we are looking for corporate sponsors to assist with
support for West Side Story (program printing, etc.). Please contact Mr. Colbert if you have any
leads.
Sports News
Support our NAHS Cross Country and Track & Field Teams by signing up for the Martin
Luther King Day 5K. The MLK Day 5K will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, January 16th (no
school that day) at Around Lenox Shopping Center. A $5 portion of each entry fee will be
donated to Track & Field and Cross Country Booster Clubs. Our goal is to raise $500 -- so we
need 100 runners. Please email Mary Kay Payne (paynemarykay@gmail.com) for an entry
form. Deadline is January 13th.
Interested in becoming a LAX Warrior? Lacrosse conditioning will resume on Monday
January 9th, and take place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday after school. Regular
attendance is expected.
Please be sure to submit your physical forms ASAP. All athletes must have an updated physical
on file in order to participate. For more information contact Mr. Regan

Attention Juniors! Save Prom $$$
This year’s prom will be on Saturday, April 21st, 2012 at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel. There
is a significant cost savings to students if they pay early. The cost to juniors is only $80 if they
pay before January 13th. This fee covers the cost of the prom for both junior and senior years.
After January 13th, the price goes up to $100. After April 13th, the cost goes up to $120, and at
the door, the cost is $150. This year’s seniors do not have to pay anything if they paid last year
as a junior. The cost to seniors who did NOT pay as juniors is $100 from now until April 13th,
and the cost increases from there. Please take advantage of the early bird special and get your
money orders (or cash) over to Mrs. Weitz in the Performing Arts office or Mrs. Rasheed in the
College and Career Center.
