Ecological Photo Journal!
Name ________________________________
MAJOR GRADE due: ___________
Date _____________________ Pd _________
Purpose: To observe course concepts in the field. To really look carefully during our field trip!
Product: You will make a power point presentation to show what you found on our field trip. Some
power points will be used to review for the unit test. Some will be used to review for the fall final.
Directions:
1. Make one power point slide for each concept you illustrate.
2. Each slide will have four parts: The concept as a title, the photo, the definition of the concept, and
your explanation of why the photo is a good illustration of the concept. See sample below.
3. Your power point must include all ten required concepts and at least six optional concepts of your
choice. Challenge concepts will be worth twice as much as optional concepts but cannot be substituted
for required concepts.
4. Each picture should be different. Avoid using the same picture for two or more concepts.
5. To turn in the project, you will down load it to the classroom computer. You can bring it in on a
memory stick or email it to yourself. Do NOT email it to Ms. Klein!
6. If you do not go on the trip, or cannot find a camera or can’t take enough pictures, there will be a
power point available on line. If you go on the trip and use these pictures, your grade will be lower than
if you use your own pictures. If you do not go on the trip, there will be no penalty for using the pictures.
