Learn about the following processes: transcript request and evaluation, applying for financial aid,
preparing for and taking the ACCUPLACER placement tests, ACT/SAT waiver guidelines, connecting
with Counseling & Advising Services
Students will complete the following steps on their own:
 Request transcripts and transcript evaluation(s) [www.cpcc.edu/admissions/student-records]
 Study for and make an appointment to take the ACCUPLACER [www.cpcc.edu/testing_assessment]
o Students with official ACT/SAT scores should follow the ACT/SAT Waiver Guidelines

 Make an appointment with Counseling & Advising Services [www.cpcc.edu/ican/contact]
o If applicable, follow the procedures for Disability Counseling Services [www.cpcc.edu/disabilities]

Phase 2: Registration & Payment



Attend appointment or New Student Advising Group to determine academic goals, complete a
master student action plan, discuss Standards of Academic Progress, credit hours, grade point
average (GPA) and college success skills/ACA
o Undecided students will be referred to Career Services
Register for and pay for classes using MyCollege
o Students can also register and pay for classes in person
