Joshua Lunsford, a son of William and Naomi (Simmons) Lunsford, was
born in Highland County VA July 25, 1840. He married Lavina Esther
Heavener. Lavina was born in Highland County July 31, 1845 and died July
11, 1931.
Joshua served the Confederacy in the Civil War and was wounded in
service.

Harmon Lunsford, a son of William and Naomi (Simmons) Lunsford, was
born in Highland County VA April 10, 1849. He married Barbara Ellen
Middleton September 12, 1872. Barbara, a daughter of Benjamin and
Elizabeth (Rexroad) Middleton, was born in HIghland County June 8, 1856
and died in Lewis Country WV March 24, 1927.
